Process

The client handed over raw photographs of the event. We finalized the pictures and then began to draft the design of the flip book. We made three drafts and presented them to client. Upon finalization of draft, we proceeded to final design. Every picture was optimized and enhanced. The design on every page included an arrow that pointed upwards. This element was consistent throughout every page, and added continuity and depth to the design. We segmented pictures and made groups of pictures for every page, ensuring that although different, they still looked like a group. We also proposed content and copy for every page. Once the pictures were set, a complimenting line was added on the design that described the image/ collage. The lines used were positive, cheerful and motivating. Once the final book was complete, we worked on interactive elements of the book. The user could flip every page at the click of a button. The page was given a smooth and swift transition effect, closely resembling flipping a real book. We also added a flipping sound after every turn of the page.
